Joanne Whitehill, Artistic Director was chosen to join Vermont Ballet Theatre while on scholarship with Burklyn Ballet.

She danced with Allegro Ballet, TN , Nevada Dance Theatre and Oregon Ballet Theatre. Her ballet Midnight Blue , choreographed on dancers at Burklyn Ballet, has been danced by the New England Ballet and been staged in New Jersey and in Oregon.

In 2001 and 2002, "Cinderella and the Flower Fairies" and "Alice in Wonderland," co-choreographed with Rob Royce, brought critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Scotland. In 2001, "Cinderella and the Flower Fairies" was the recipient of The Scotsman's Readers' Choice Award for Best Dance and Physical Theatre on the Fringe.
