BURKLYN BALLET THEATRE AUDITION GUIDELINES

Dancers should arrive at least one half hour in advance to complete a brief audition application and prepare for a 1 1/2 - 2 hour advanced intermediate class (depending on attendance), which will include pointe work for female dancers.

There is a $25.00 charge for the class (unless other arrangements have been made), payable by check or in cash. Photos, bios and teacher recommendations are not required.

In cities where there are not separate auditions for the Intermediate Program, 9-11 year old dancers should plan to attend the regular audition, which will be simplified for them. These dancers must be 10 before January 1 and 12 after January 1 to attend the Intermediate Program.

Dancers are also chosen for The Edinburgh Connection at these regular auditions. Dancers will be notified of acceptance within two weeks following the audition.
